Me thinks it’s a Jag, due to the janky suspension but not sure of vintage.

Rolls Royce then.
![]() 08/18/2017 at 10:44 |

By the clues, I will guess a Bentley Eight or Turbo R (Rolls-Royce are a lot less common). Doesn’t seem to have the suspension of a period Range Rover, but what do I know.

Gotta be a Rolls.

If I had $30k to flush I’d be on that like a fly on dog poo.

Sounds like repairs could easily exceed the value of the car.

It is 100% condition inside, like museum quality. Needs and a/c compressor and some self-leveling suspension components.
I pay whatever the dealer gave the customer for it which is like $9,000 I think. If I wasn’t remodeling the house, i’d hop on that asap

even at wholesale price from the dealer up the road, it’s pretty dang pricey. My price for the car is like $9,000 ish since that’s what they gave the guy that traded it in. If we weren’t remodeling the house i’d hop on that pending a reliable source for good used parts at least.

Hilarious ad copy too - it’ll take you where you need to go every time. Good luck! Definitely something for the DIY person. Older Rolls-Royce can be tempting, but the constant issues scare me away, especially the braking and suspension systems on some models.
![]() 08/18/2017 at 11:18 |

lol I think they just copy and paste everything. I’d love to have this one and tinker with it. Safety items first indeed. The interior is almost showroom quality and it smells like an estate sale in a fancy neighborhood

In the garage where I store my old car, there was a guy with a 67 Silver Shadow. Black on tan, suspension/braking recently rebuilt at a huge cost, pristine interior, excellent exterior (black). Tough sell at 15K, and I am not sure if he was able to sell it. I was almost tempted to look, but I don’t need another mouth to feed. Post-Silver Cloud models don’t seem to be going anywhere. The leather and wood does make it smell like an old British drawing room.

NIIIICE! I think those old luxury dinosaurs are so rad, anything lower 90's and below. I could serious just stare are them all day. Not too much money could be made with them i’ve noticed as well.

I have a thing for Corniches, and later Silver Clouds. Maintenance keeps me from even giving a look though, way to fussy for a DD, and even as a sunny day car, running costs will be insane. The fintail is plenty good enough.

Doh! Should’ve known. No plastic.

Someone came in the other day for a smog and noticed smoke coming out of the grille, it smelled oil. I asked them if they had an oil leak? They proceed to look under the car: “I never noticed a puddle.” me: Do you see the smoke?
Wow. This idiot also said they’d get rid of their truck if something major like the radiator went out. It’s a 2000 Ranger, nothing exotic.
![]() 08/18/2017 at 18:41 |
|
Jeebus lol! If the $80 radiator goes out, it’s over... trash it! LOL some humans man, I tell ya
![]() 08/18/2017 at 19:31 |

Even at full dealer prices were talking maybe $500, at most! Shit, I’d buy it off of him for $600.

I’ve done that twice. Once with a W202 and another with a V70. Couple fuel rail pressure sensors and abs module later, both got me around $800 profit. NotBadObama.jpg

Not bad, but I’d keep both. I happen to know that the W202 is the second greatest vehicle ever made, or that will ever be made.
